Salmon Paddle

Paddle was made in April of 2010 painting is called "Salmon Sisters" made from cedar.

beaver pendant

this pendant speaks for itself its about 3 inches, original design for a friend. one of my many talents (beading) but i dont prefer it, too time consuming.

eagle warrior

This is what sparked my interest deeply into Coast Salish art. I was at work at BJ's Bingo and walked down a hallway by offices and seen a painting by Bill Holm with a warrior standing on a conoe. (BAD ASS...) that sparked my interest because at the time that show HUMAN WEAPON was on and started to wonder what our fighting methods were.

so the head-dress is my fathers, I put it on to cover up the top half of the face, originaly the mask is connected to a wooden helmet, but not knowing alot about carving and only drawing I decided to jump at it anyway, I wanted to make one really bad!

the mask over the face is made from cedar, and yes those are real eagle feather. and its just a black blanket. the picture was taken by my lil brother, you got to admit if you came accross this back in the 1890's you would be freaked out!...who wouldnt.

bear rattle

This rattle is my first real attempt with guidence from "MASTER CARVER" Shaun Peterson, and was worked on at Qwalsius Studios in the months of May, June, and July of 2009

made from Alder and was a gift for my grandmother, as a late B-Day gift

the Spirit of the Sea

I paint all my canvas's first then stand back and look at them and stare off into space until I see an image. At this particular moment I was caught with a blank mind, I looked at the T.V. and their was a commercial for River Monstars and then "POW" my hand grabbed the white paint and went at it.

acrylic's with Montana 94(spray paint)

Trapped Raven

The day I sat down to paint this I was flipping through a bunch of pictures on the internet about NorthWest Coast Salish art and seen the most popular "How the Raven stole the Sun." So I though what if the Sun "Trapped the Raven" and taught him a lesson. haha... and this is what came out of it.

Seahawk rattles

After learning how to carve rattles with Shaun Peterson I attempted to make my own. I am still iffy about carving and still need more guidence, but this is the product. These were made in November of 2009 before the Seattle Seahawks played San Fransico 49ers...

Wolf and cub

this drum belongs to a friend from work and the design is original and sparked my intrest when my friend told me that the drum belonged to his mother who had passed. so this image came to mind, a mother wolf protecting her cub!...

Snake keeper

this drum is made from horse hide, and belongs to a friend of mine...William Johnny. he asked me to sketch up a few ideas to see what I can come up with and this was one of them... he liked it and claimed it.

mediums used: SHARPIE, because when you play the drum the art wont chip away(like acrylics)

Baby bear

a design that was originally for a canvas, but when i was selling fireworks for a co-worker, he seen my sketch and wanted the design for his daughters drum. this explained the pink background...

Sun mask

a gift for my mother made from "port orfard" cedar, with acrylics and raffia.

South wind

carved this at my friend's house WILLIAM JOHNNY, we had planned out what we where going to do and went at it. This is the outcome, and was gifted at a family function for Christmas.

WHALE PADDLE.

While drawing non stop and sparking new ideas I had my co-worker help me with making a few paddle handles. He made me quite a few and in return for helping me I painted this paddle for him. Thanks CALVIN LARSON.
